From the Pastor's Heart
LIFE IS FRAGILE!
Almost every day I am involved in situations that remind me that lifre is fragile. I'm not suggesting that we live life where we constantly think about the possibility of death or life ending as we know it because of some illness or accident. But, I am suggesting that we look at our life on this earth with understanding and honesty. James, the half-brother of Jesus Christ wrote in the New Testament that "Life is like a vapor." In othe words....our life that seems so strong and at times becomes something we just take for granted, is in reality no more stable than a mere vapor that can be destroyed with just a small puff of air. In terms of eternity....our life here could be represented by the smallest imaginable dot.
You might wonder why I would take time to write about something as sobering as our fragile life. Well, while life is fragile....it is also very prescious. In fact, your life is so prescious to Jesus that he wants your life to extend forever. God has provided a way for everyone to have this eternal life. He has provided this possibility for every person through His Son Jesus. SO....THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION EVERY PERSON WILL MAKE DURING THEIR FRAGILE LIFE ON THIS EARTH IS......WHAT AM I GOING TO DO ABOUT JESUS?
Here is the message. Because God loves us so much, and because he knew we could never earn eternal lifre on our own, He provided His Son Jesus to take our place and face judgement and death for us. Then God said that everyone that will accept Jesus as my Son and accept what He has done for them......shall have eternal life. THAT DECISION IN AN INDIVIDUAL'S LIFE MUST BE MADE DURING THEIR FRAGILE LIFE HERE ON EARTH! There is no other option.
How about you? Have you decided what you will do with Jesus yet?
